Bars won't go on forks?

I'm usually the person to answer questions like these, but I've tried everything.

I bought SZ Vipers, and they showed up this morning. They won't go on my forks. Declare IHC forks. They go on as far as the slit goes and that's it. I cut a second slit in the front, and widened both of them as well. The bars still refuse to go down any further. I mean yeah, I could slam them on and say fuck it, but I'd rather my scooter work well than deal with an annoyance like this haha. Any other suggestions?

Use a sanding drum or flap wheel on a drill or die-grinder you could hone the inside of the bars to make sure its smooth. Maybe there is just a burr or something inside the bars that is keeping them from going on...or maybe the Id. of the bars is to small.
Either way sanding/honing the inside of the bars might work...?

This, it could be a manufacturing defect, in which case I would contact SZ.

Are the bars brand new? If not the actual tubing above the slit may be ovalised from previous use in which case the bars will not fit over your forks at all. Same thing happened to me and i just ended up getting an scs, unfortunately for you that would mean buying new forks as well so its probably not an option.

^^^^ not that! its sometimes a rogue piece of metal fron casting and if you do that it can sonetines jam onto the shim of take a huge section out of it and become stuck...it wrecks the bars and shim becayuse its near impossible to remove.
and idk what sz vipers are but if they have a top guesset then its a big nono because it'll crack/snap the guesset and weaken the bars, i snapped my strippers doing that
