In fact, every single business owner I've ever talked to about this circumstance has openly told me that Mormon employees are gold. They are dedicated, which comes from having the commitment skills required to serve a two year mission. The money came about through tithing. Tithing, as defined by the General Authorities of the church, is the donation of a maximum of one tenth of an individuals income annually, if it is possible. The money either goes to building more church buildings in areas where there are members, but a lack of a building to conduct services in, or to a directly charitable purpose. There is no money in the pocket of the leaders of the church from it, and the church keeps a record of every penny received and distributed. You can find it if you actually look.
