Where to get shims?

try it and you will find out, apparently soda can shims fit just right...shoulda bought the clamp off of inward, they sell em' with shims

I am using a soda can shim right now in my Scooter Zone Death Clamp, and it works fine!

You hate on people for killing threads and then post this...not hypocritical or anything.
And you can probably just get any kind of metal that is the right thickness and bend it to shape. like if you have a 1-3/8" clamp and 1-1/4" bars couldnt you get an 1/8" thick piece of alu or something and bend it to shape?

Go to your local distributor of District and ask them to help you out.

I just took the box that twizzlers (the licorice) come in and cut a rectangle out of the thick plastic. Works fine 4 me.

yea I bought one from ECX, ryan told me you needed a shim but I was pretty sure I had one, and now im just SOL. ECX apparently doesnt have any so i'm not sure where to get one.

a local hardware store wouldnt have any? and Im worried the problem might be that the forktube on my lucky NW's might be to small, cause I had like a homemade tape shim on my inward's and it worked fine, but now no matter how much I tighten the district clamp w/ my gay little shim, or with a regular pro model clamp, the bars still wobble a little.

I have NW's and all I had to do was use the technique where you put in the clamp bolt on the other side and put a penny in to make it strech open more and slid in ur shim. Then put the NW's on the forktube, adjust the clamp and the shim so that they line in and are straight, then tighten the clamp. Solid as a rock.
