If it was hard to screw on the whole way through, you probably put the nut on a bit crooked and just forced it to screw on anyways. The nut might be ruined, luckily they aren't hard to find.

Bike frames weigh about as much as a scooter deck. We could figure it out. Also I wouldn't mind riding a 5 pound deck. After all, it's only 5 pounds. That's not a lot of weight.

A chromoly deck. What would the pros and cons be? Has anyone tried making one before?
