you ride a steel peg and do what is called a "peg chink" where you do a powerslide on the beck end and scrape the peg on the ground, obstical, etc. It has to be a steel peg though, aluminum will not spark it will just wear the peg down unevenly

yes, I'm extremely picky about how my scooter feels so I'd say I feel a lot more comfortable riding in general when it feels exactly how I want it. If its not then I just feel miserable while riding
