Go to a hardware store and buy locktite or a similar product and put some on the threads of the topcap that screws into the fork. This should solve your problem

my friend has a vx2000E and cant get clips to his computer from tapes we have tried using a firewire to USB but that isnt recognised by his computer and we have both looked for a tape reader and havent had much luck, any ideas? Edit: would something like this work...
