Yeah, you should be fine. Make sure the block you make for the slit is an extra 1/2" to 1" than the length of the slit to be on the safe side. And if you don't like how tall your bars are after SCS cut like a 1/2" off the bars and it'll be even safer.

I enjoy playing music and specialize in mallet percussion. Here's a recording of my main piece from this last school year. It's not perfect but it gets the point across.

Um, first of all HIC doesn't even require a starnut, and secondly, you don't need to remove the starnut for SCS as the fork doesn't even go in the bars.

The bars first cracked while riding on a lindworm so the scooter was much lighter, I didn't switch decks until after the crack. Also, I did some measurements on the two decks and they have the same balance point position proportional to the length of each deck, main difference is weight.

Fargo's park is pretty fun though, go early morning or when the weather sucks then only like one or two people are there.
