Is it a shim with a built in topcap? And that shouldnt be the problem i run phoenix forks with a district ( built in starnut) and they work great!

That had nothing to do with it haha you could have a stripped starnut but idk ive gotten lucky with my compression stuff qnd everything goes together perfect
