The dude at the bike store had used 2 from a 4 pack already, he sold me the 2 leftover for $6.80 AUS. It's dark outside now so I can't run them at the park yet, but doing barspins in the driveway felt really comfortable. :)
That's probably true. Being shiny and light must give the impression they're made of aluminium, but they could just be made out of shitty steel, hence snapping. :D
And when the manufacturers figure out their scooter is really strong and durable and people want them, they'll jack up the price to $300 dollars.
