That's probably true. Being shiny and light must give the impression they're made of aluminium, but they could just be made out of shitty steel, hence snapping. :D

See, you order about 20 or so, and just when they're about to run out, you buy some more. Repeat the process and you'll never run out.

And when the manufacturers figure out their scooter is really strong and durable and people want them, they'll jack up the price to $300 dollars. Great plan.
