Yes. great question. It does but you can easily brace it with your hand on the back leg by adding pressure to it, which i always do anyway for added stability.

I feel you, but i LOVE mine, because I also take pictures with it and stuff. Also, I got mine BRAND NEW for $580...so it wasn't bad at all imo.
