not really.... i tend to put lots of flatspots & little chunks in my wheels over time, as opposed to giant cracks and dehubbing. also, i always wear them down unevenly from sliders. most of the damage done to my wheels is from 5050 grinds... the sides of my wheels always get pretty badly ripped...

i get a bunch of wheels every few months.

it helps to not buy a shitty tank II headset and buy an S-3.
