i guess im one of very few kids without access to a saw. i had 2, but my stepdad let our neighbor borrow it and he took it when he moved away. my other one broke.

NOBODY BUYS THEM B/C THEY ARE THREADED, THE THREADS SUCK ASS, AND THEY ARE EXPENSIVE.

of course you could try putting a broken fork tube in it, or just a threadless tube. remember, with this compression system ID no longer matters. you can make thick alu bars. you can experiment.
thats been said already, but it would probably be better to use a threadless tube. the fork tube is threaded, and would thread into the bars. could it be possible that if it was overtightened the fork tube could crack? or be stuck to the bars?
