function? the brake is like the one part you don't want to work. i think it should be high enough to be able to press down a bit but not enough to actually hit the wheel. i voted for light as well. idk if you could do this but make it thicker towards the middle, and thinner towards the end...

If you cannot have slits in your bars with it, then I don't see how you can use stock bars. The bars taper before 2 inches up. The steertube would be too skinny then.

anything that is strong. there aren't really any parts that are specifically for a type of riding. it would be a good idea though, to have a reinforced deck, and fork.
