Look at biking companies. Handlebars, all are the same. Frames, all are (basically) the same. Stems, the same. Forks, the same. Different offsets like scooters. If someone makes ANYTHING that is good and sells well, people are going to copy. Look at ipods. Tons of companies make knockoff ipods...

Because people want new stuff, nobody wants to ride the same exact setup for a year. It's nice to have a change once in a while. I'm like the opposite, I hate having to buy new stuff all the time.
