make sure you do everything in the same stance. don't do switch tail whip but do heel whips regularly because then you have to start over. also try to learn front boards first because then in videos if you do stuff frontside it makes your tricks better
same. i started out doing flyout and now I'm just seshing rails and boxes. work on different tricks because i started learning a tail whip and i didn't learn barspins until like a month ago after about a year and a half of riding. Make sure you learn all the basics and then do what you like best.
