Well you can cut your fork or use headset spacers. There are some forks like MGPs that stick out up to three inches but a shorter fork like a tilt will only stick out a little over an inch.

Frank, its not too unknown. Its actually from Dr. Dog's first album, probably their best. Every album since then they have been more refined and produced, they don't have all the mistakes like this album does, which I love.
