I rode 28 tall bars but my scooter got stolen so I'm down to 24 and 22 wide now :( it feels soooooo small and I'm 6' 1" btw. 28 seemed to feel the most comfortable and I was still able to finger whip it and stuff haha

I only ride in adida sambas, they are sooooo durable! They seriously last me around a year of riding. Plus they are only 50 bucs a pair which isn't that bad. But they are more durable than nikes from what I've seen from experience.
