HDR shots, I hate HDR, but these are done fairly well. My only problem with em is that it seems like you just shot right outside of your house, the subject is lacking, minus the mountains and the ball park.

Dig the panos, just make sure that everything is in focus. In the last one the left side isn't in focus, but the right side is.

I'll be honest and say that I dont like the car photos. To start I hate HDR, you know that already, but I'm biased.. And unlike your other HDR photos, this one was done not quite as well. I hate that I can see an obvious glow around the subject. The angle is just not right at all. It looks like you are just trying to shoot the tire in the second one. I wanna see more of the car! And lastly I can see you in both shots. A hugeeeee no no in almost any circumstance, other than mirror shots, etc. Also if you MUST incorporate the background (in this case you kinda had to..) at least shoot at f/8. The background isn't focused and it looks awkward, but that could also be from the layering in the HDR.

Back to HDR, I know it's fun.. but I really enjoy all of your shots and get super bummed when I open the thread to HDR.

Take all of this with a grain of salt. PLEASE DONT HATE ME :)

Ooh blake has a real compeditor right here yall.

I don't "compete" against other photographers, I do my own stuff, my own way, with my own style. I don't like "competing". I don't consider what stuff is better than another, only what is technically better.

yea there really is no competing...i will have to say. its all basically looking at other peoples work and learning from them. thats why we have photo threads right? hahahha

and the HDR, yes i do take a lot of it outside of my house hahahaha
and from now on ill try to avoid the major HDR, but more of exposure fusion which is more natural looking. I just went camping so i have over 8gb of pics to go though and process, which a lot had to be HDR because of the way the sky is so bright compared to the mountains and whatnot. I would have used my split ND but the lens that fits the filter is being repaired :(. I do have plenty of normal shots though that i have to go though. i have a feeling that everyone here will like the star shots, just because you cant get them in a city

so thank you all for your input :)
and btw i dont hate any of ya hahaha
hope to get those pics up soon!! :)

I realy dont think i took very many good shots myself....they wernt creative shots, just like memories for me and my family. Those can be the best in the long run though :)

Fuckin love the shot of the building. Stars are great too. I hate nature photography.. probably because I could never figure out how to make it look anything more than a snapshot.. But a few of these are great!

I dig the one titled 'snowy' a lot. Probably out of your control, but you do notice that when you're fusing the photos, you're getting a tiny overlap making it look at out of focus. Mainly talking about 'rush'. I can tell you've got a small aperture but.. for some reason there were parts of the photo that should've been in focus, like the rocks in the foreground. I'm just assuming its the overlap. It's a great shot, but with water, expose at least for a second to get it real nice and milky. Overall, glad to see that you are using the whole photomerge for it's right purpose :)

Thank you!!! :)

and i know what you are talking about with the snapshot, i feel the same way.
And about the water, i wish the same!!! hahahah
i was going to get out my welding glass filter to stop it totally down to get like a 5 min exposure, but it was the morning and i was very lazy (tends to get the better of me)
so yea....

Iv got another camping trip soon so im soaking up all your advice to use on the next trip :)
