Was just looking on a skating forum i go on, and similarly to COTW, they had a competition that was as mentioned "1 spot, 4 tricks".
Rules went something like;
- Must be street or flat (With obstacles)
- Must include different tricks in each clip, can't reuse the same trick.
e.g if you did a barspin to wallride for the first clip, you can't do another barspin in the next 3 clips.
BUT! you can repeat tricks in the same clip, so barspin to wallride to barspin would count.
- At a street spot obstacles can be used to change the spot, but it must be something you find whilst riding street.
No kickers, rails etc from peoples house.
But a road sign (for example) could be used as a rail.
- Can have a team of people, but the people must have an EVEN amount of clips.
e.g if there are 2 people, they both must have 2 clips.
If there are 4, they must have 1 clip each.
- Fakies, Manuals, Straight hops, Wallrides and any other trick that is a basic extension of riding do not count as a 'trick'.
Although grinds do count as a trick.
- Judged more on Use of the spot, use of tricks, originality, cleanliness, style etc.
So yeah
I'd probably run it once every 2 weeks, as its less likely people would film for it over COTW, but it'd still be on the frontpage and voted for in admin.
I just believe its a good idea to get people riding some tech, street and thinking outside of the box.
What does everyone think?
