But on a serious not about 2012, one of the main theories is that all the planets will perfectly align and people think thats gonna cause some huge cataclysmic event. But scientists and astrologists have proved that it will NOT be a perfect alignment, but close. The last perfect alignment was in the '80s I believe, and nothing happened... except ridiculous clothes.

Another theory is that people are "predicting" the biggest solar flare of our lifetime. But anyone who has studied the solar system/ the sun in or out of school knows that solar flares are almost impossible to predict, so hows that make any sense?

ok just cause a myaian calender edns at 2012 doesent mean we are going to die does it? no. they had to stop somewhere in makeing a calender, and nothing is going to happen in 2012

This could of been a good thread, but it went straight down hill.

But lets try anyway, i dont think we'll all die, iv'e heard all the biggest theories and there all not that convincing, or rather sketchy.
Something could happen, maybe the Anunnaki will come down from Nibiru once or if it comes into orbit and be like "yo".
Iv'e read the book all the Anunnaki stuff came from, by this guy called Zecharia Sitchin and it's not as crazy as it sounds and alot more in depth than you think. It's seriously a very hard book to read.
But every time i hear or read about a 2012 theory, i just think, well that could happen, but will it?

Exactly. Mayans arent around anymore, so obviously they cant continue a calendar.

And the whole "end of the world" thing coming from the Mayans is total wrong and a mistranslation. It actually just shows earth coming to the end of a cycle. Mayans put a lot of things into these cycles. 2012, by the Mayan calendar, is a rebirth, not an end, thats where misinterpretation comes in. Most people think "oh no, how can a 'rebirth' happen to something thats already here? It must be the end of the world." Not necessarily. According to the same calendar thats causing this close minded hysteria, the earth has already been through a few cycles and its still here.
I think something might happen (astrologically), but nothing apocalyptic.

Haha, or Zane could be right with the Annunaki. This kind of stuff catches my attention and its more interesting than you might think. Anyone whos seriously interested in the whole 2012 thing might wanna look up the Annunaki stuff. It offers POSSIBLE theories about 2012 and religion all based on ancient civilizations.
