did i just say i had no respect for them? at the end of this year im getting lest we forget tattoed down my arm in memory of them so dont act like you know me.

the monument is put up in hope of remembering. which obviously i do. if you fought in the war and seen some kid riding a scooter participating in a healthy sport, or a kid running around on e's (about half the kids my age) which one would you see as disrespect?

The way it came across sounded that way.
I'm just going to drop it now, that last sentence or two was completely irrelavent to the subject.
I see it as a grave disrespect as relatives of mine died in war, when i see someone riding on a monument made as a tribute to them, he's riding on my grandfathers spirit, i hope you understand..

Dudes, chill down. Riding monuments is like riding stairs.
If monuments are not for riding, then stairsets are not for jumping over them. Lose-lose situation.

If you ride monuments, then you might annoy the dead people (which is actually nobody).
If you ride stairs on streets, then you might annoy alive people.

Are you retarded or something?
Why would you come into this to say something like that?
Ok, us alive people who have grandfathers, and great grandfathers who died in war don't care about anyone graffiting, riding on, or spitting on a monument made in their honour.
Can people please have just a little respect for my sake?
Monuments commemerating war mean a hell of a lot to me..

I sort of agree with Jake. I'm sure good, hard-working people who died in war would much rather see the youth participating in a healthy sport (regardless of where) then doing drugs or ruining their lives.

If I look at it this way, they fought and lost their lives in order to promote freedom that you get to live daily. Would you think they would want to have died in order to give freedom to the kids corrupting themselves and becoming burnout losers of society? No.

no dead solder would be upset if a kid rode a scooter off the stars dedicated to him. its not like they were defacing the monument or something. really, its not disrespectful at all. im sure everyone has nothing but the utmost respect and praise for solders who gave their lives for their country and the causes they believed in.

i wasnt going to reply to this thread again. but you acting as if your the only one to lose a relative in the war? mate most australians were affected with the lose of a family member, you dont have to take it so personally. your making the photo out to be something bigger than it actually is.

end of convo. i would close the thread, but this is the admin section so theres not too much point, ahaha.
