Adderall

Who is prescribed this legal meth and takes it as prescribed? Does it have any long term effect on the way you sleep, eat, work ect? And did the benefits (concentration) wear off once you got used to it and it stopped getting you high, or do you need to keep using higher and higher doses?
Im just curious because i definitely have adhd but using adderall daily would sketch me out.

And i guess recreational adhd med discussion? Might as well put that here too.

I've used it a few times and im on it now. i love this ----- the only way to describe how it feels is to imagine that second right after you cum and you're full of happiness and contentment, but for hours. everything becomes clear and your thoughts become more organized.
Shit made me not eat for 2 days strait and had me feeling withdrawal symptoms on the next day. and it made my insomnia so much worse. if i didnt know my limits i can see myself getting addicted to this very quickly.

edit: adderall is basically the pill in limitless.

lol thanks scooterskatenj. it's not a physical mutation or anything if that's what you're saying, it's just an abnormality lol. it's probably because something in the brain is taking longer to develop then normal. i basically think it's just a normal thing and theres nothing actually wrong with you, you're just developing differently and they can't afford to teach people different ways according to the level of development different parts of the brain are in. they pump you full of different doses of amphetamines to release dopamine to speed up memory formation and norepinephrine which makes you attentive and is also released during arousal. which is probably why i keep comparing it to sex.

shiet another paragraph, my bad. this shit has lasted 8 hours so far.

I have ADD. I used to be prescribed adderal all through middle school and I think some of 5th grade. It fucked up my sleep schedule, and made my appetite disappear completely. I was never hungry. The medicine itself caused me to lose weight to the point where my doctor was recommending that I drink chocolate milkshakes every night. Although the side effects were a pain in the ass, it did help me focus. I can start taking it again whenever I need to, but I don't think I need it right now. I would never think about abusing it. It can fuck you up in some ways.

Yeah yeah csb.

I am prescribed to Ritalin (Methlyphenidate) for a sleep/fatigue disorder I have called Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. It isn't narcolepsy, but it is similar. I take a very small dose (10mg) once in the morning as soon as I get up. It definentley helps me concentrate a lot more in school. Only side affects are loss of appetite and maybe insomnia, depending on your dose/when you take it. I have lost weight on it, but I find that right before you go to bed, it wears off and you become extremley hungry. I use Cannabis to combat this unhealthy side effect =)

My friend has told me about his uses.

He would basically take it to the point where he would work for almost 24 hours straight at the most and then crash for a day, usually more. Combined with weed and booze, he knew he had to stop it. So he sticks to only weed and booze now baha.

But it did affect the way he lived after a certain amount of use and it was actually his roommates who noticed and had to tell him he had a bit of a problem. Food for thought.

My English teacher used to be addicted to it. He told me it was shitty because he would pop a few and then correct homework all night, and then crash the next night. He also said that after the first time, if he didn't take any while correcting ----- he couldn't concentrate at all. He had to take a leave like three years ago to sort his shit out haha.
Basically, if you use it for anything other than for no reason at all, you get hooked on it

that was all definitely his fault though. you shouldnt take them after like 2 pm if you want to sleep at night. honestly when i wake up the next morning i feel refreshed. and i can still concentrate the same way i did before i took them.
im thinking about getting a prescription but only taking them when i really need it.

Yeah probably, I mean everything is fine in moderation obviously. It just seems like Adderall is a harder one to control. If you study with it, it apparently makes you remember every little detail. Like steroids for your brain or something, man. If you read a book and then do a book report, it will be the best damn book report you ever write.

lol it's more like race fuel for your brain. it speeds up the formation of memory and makes you more attentive. but since the side effects are so bad (for me at least) id only take it when i really need it for school.

my friend takes it a lot when we go to parks, he says it makes him skate mad good but he's consistent as fuck anyway so I don't notice a difference in his skating either way, I think he's starting to get addicted though

all i know, is that the one time i took it, i ran 4 miles at midnight in the pouring rain just for the dick of it. it seemed like the best idea ever, and honestly, it was the greatest, most exciting, happiest run of my life.

i used to take this shit called Concerta when i was in school (i was diagnosed with ADHD real young), pretty sure it was ritalin. i hated it, it made me feel like shiiiitttt. i stopped taking it when i was old enough to really have free will. alot of kids benefit from it, but i dont think its the correct way to deal with ADD/ADHD.

also, this thread is not gonna be used to discuss 'casual' usage of these types of drugs, or itll get locked.
