If you ever run pegs in the back, it makes the deck whip differently. Thats what this does, you can customize the weight so that if it feels like you're on a feather, you can at least make it a bit heavier.

if decks are really that unbalanced and need "ballast", shouldnt companies just make decks so they are balanced? like integrated ballast?

It's not a matter of making it necessary for all decks because they are all unbalanced, it's a matter of customizing the feel of your deck more so that it fits the tricks you do even better.

NO they are not rider owned. They are rider run. How could anybody run a company, manage money, and test parts, and film for a dvd? its impossible distict owner funds it while the work out designs and test then and tell the owner what needs to change. Being own by rider is not good being run by riders is. nuff said.
