You could run an ICS bolt up inside the forks then through the top cap and a regular nut on top of the Top Cap.

I don't have an ics bolt or a wrench that while fit inside my scs to tighten the nut.

i use the ics bolt with scs. ics bolts are not very expensive and you can use needle nose pliers to tighten it. i use a socket rench with an extension and it works really well.

You could use a washer and locknut and tighten them onto the SCS bolt through the inside of the forktube, using a socket and extension.

I've done this with my addict fork and it works perfectly, i use a tilt SCS.

You can also hit a star nit up through the bottom off the forks upto the top.

it WILL work, but you'll need a small starnut because they are alu

Thanks for the help guys. I ended up sawing off the top cap thing and going to a bike shop and having them install a star nut and it works great.
