Advantage of cutting a brake?

whats the advantage of cutting an old A brake?

is it just for looks or what?

for stock brakes it helps prevent bending, but on blades its pretty much just for looks. and i guess it would save a little bit of weight, but that wouldnt really matter.

its for rolling backwards if prevents when your rolling backwards and you hit the brake. you don't fling back

so where should i cut it? like how much off the end?

and will i still have enough braking power for tire taps?

i bent my brake =( now my wheels gettin worn down on oneside
now how far along the brake should i cut it?

Yea you will just cut it where stops going up then bends
And the advantages are
. Dialeder scooter
. Keeps it from bendig
. Looks alot better

Yea you will be able to tire tap i do them all the time da, and yea thats where you cut it

yeah i cutit there and its too low. not a big deal really, just hard to keep my foot off the wheel. ill post a pic sometime tonight.
