Advice needed on scooter set up + oversize bars

Hello

I'm looking at buying my son a second-hand scooter with the following set up:

swish t bars
blunt 4 bolt collar clamp
sealed bearing threaded headset
red grit threaded forks
district v2 deck

It also comes with some mgp batwing bars with clamp.

Could anyone advise me about if I could fit the oversize MGP bars on the present set up?

I've read that I might need an HIC set, but is that all that I'd need? Do the threaded forks make it more complicated?

Thanks

Yes but you will also need a threadless headset as the one at the mo is a threaded one. You will also need a starnut in his forks for the hic.

you guys are all wrong....... you CAN use threaded forks with hic if you replace the shim with a steel one

you simply get 3mm thisc steel, measure it out, then bend it to fit around a fork tube, its easy and as long as you dont let the scooter get rusty, it wont seize up

your right but it would be more advisable to do it how it was designed with a threadless headset and forks

you need to get that hic kit you posted and thread-less forks and also a thread-less headset to do it how it was designed and also you would need to put a star-nut into the forks although if you buy vertx thread-less forks it comes with a removable star-nut too save the hassle of knocking one in.
