Ok. well, I wanna know if where some of you guys are from people call you gay for scootering, because i started scootering like a month ago, and ever since people "including friends" at school are calling me gay. It doesnt seem like you guys have this problem though. I live in ATL. So will you guys please post and tell me if you get made fun of, and where your from.

yea i hella get made fun of... scootering is so "nerdy" and "gay" at my skool. dude u just gotta ignore it. it seems 2 happen everywhere even at sk8parks im called gay. whatever.

i get called gay all the time for riding a scooter but i tell them to f** off and ps u r not the only rider in reno i know a few and i live like an hour away from reno

ehh not really because everyone has seen brandon kilbury and i live close to him like next town over
and everyone thinks he's cool because he's good at it.
i hear his name every day.
the only time i ever have a problem with it s one of my freinds that skateboards.
he thinks everything he does is the best and if you don't do it your not cool and your gay.

p.s he smokes weed every day and im pretty sure he is a little more retarded each day

yeah man, same here. Except more like grade 8 cause i didnt scoot in 6th. Now no one really cares if you scooter.

I got use to it..thanks to jordan scott,tyler boner,jt, david ross,javier,cary and all the others because the been to every skate park around and they made it so the locals dont call you gay...

If you're really talented at it, you probably won't be called gay, but if you're still learning you'll run into that at times. The reason people call it gay is because it's one of the first slanders that come to mind 90% of the time, by gay, they mean its dumb, stupid, or retarded. Most people think that because scootering isnt really that popular yet. So just get used to it, and do it because you love it, and not for what other people will think about it.

i think if you can prove scooters are cool such as doing like a scooty flip flat or somthing cool
people would respect you a little more.

Sometimes people are like "wtf like those little kid things?" but when I flat double and then give them my heavy scooter they're like "oh wow".

i found out skaters give u more respect when your showing them up at something there doing. Like at my park all the skaters ride this 3 block, so now i get respect cause i went and learned shit down it. So maybe try that

true. Honestly, scootering is really gay, it's just a fucking cheat bike, but as long as it's fun I'm gonna keep fucking riding them, so fuck it.
