An article about scooters in the Wall Street Journal

hahahahhah the fucking mad skateboard kid at the end made my day. I love how this article basically labels skateboarders as stuck up pricks, because thats what a lot of them are. they don't realize that the original skateboarding movement was them rebelling against the jocks at school, and now they've turned into the jocks.

this is fucking stupid, use some damn common sense and realize that the same thing that happened to skaters with them getting kicked out of street spots and all that is gonna happen to us, doesn't take much more than a fucking drop of intelligence to see that.
some times i really just hate people

haha its not about skateboards and scooters its the simple fact that if scooters dont get a place to ride we resort to riding street, which is often doesnt go over well with the higher ups, so you are setting up a bunch of 15 year olds to get in trouble with the law when they could easily open the skatepark up, thats my fucking tax dollars at work, i wanna use it!

pretty good for the scene in my opinion. scooters made it into the wall street journal, one of the most highly recognized newspapers in the world. people who dont ride scooters get to actually weigh in on the situation. I think its good. this should happen more often. the actual physical article has pictures of an mgp and a RUP not some shitty a1 or something, another sign this sport is evolving and that people are slowly not associating little kiddy scooters with the sport of scootering.

There is no Scooters vs Skaters, skaters dont really care. Some bikers do. WSJ made a misconception and that is not how scooters should have been mentioned to readers. The reason they are kicking them out is simply because most parks dont allow scooters. Not because we dont get along with skaters.

I agree, scooters should be forced out of all skateparks so they are either forced to quit or ride street.

Not all skateparks are vert, alot of them, atleast in Cali. have street sections like ledges, stairs, boxes, etc. incorporated in the skatepark.

shut the fuck up dickhead, you wanna know why we ride scooters? because we have fun riding them. Whether that be street, park, flat, or whatever the fuck you want. We don't ride to be cool or look cool at all, if that was the case we'd all be riding boards or bikes.

so in turn, your an ass.
