Are rad bars made out of steel, my dad says he can make some one piece bars but only out steel. Would they wiegh a ton?

there made out of 4130 chromoly dont make your bars out of steel its very heavy and will snap forks easy



chromoly is a specialty metal its not something you can pick up at home depot its something u have to order form ametal manufactuer or order offline

Chromoly 4130 is basicly steel reinforced with chrome compounds, which makes it harder.

No, in fact i didn't. Before i bought rad bars, Egon had told me that ages ago when i asked what's chromoly 4130 exactly and he told it's an alloy iron consisting of this and that etc. I only had to search out the word "compounds" from the Estonian-to-English dictionary.

If he did google it he would have said its steel with a higher amount of carbon than regular steel. Chromoly is not chrome.

Okaii. The Rad Crew is here to tell you.

BMX frames uses 4130 chromoly. Not all though. I think most of the time. I don't BMX so cannot really tell you.

What are Rad bars made of has been answered so I won't answer that.

i rode "SS" bars for months, There heavy as fuck....and a sick as fuck!

i never broke a set of forks!

i ride rads now.....but i had to make the heavier but shoving shit down the tube and compressing it in..


light bars are for pussies.

Ride bars are made from Mild Steel and they are fine.
If you cant manage the weight of ss or ride bars, your a fucking loser.

Only trick I lost was bri flat, and I only did that a few times with my other bars.
