cmon, seriously think, the companies are not really advertising because most of us already know about the companies and manufacturers. All they are doing is letting the word around that they are creating new parts.

Buff, I think devin has a point. Maybe you could set up a plan like 5$ for a thread / no banner package?
and if someone says "but what if the company can't spare 5$" so help me..

this is supposed to be a free place where we can talk about scooters, parts, etc. this IS supposed to be a place to expand our sport, not a place to make profit.

i think there should be a forum where companies can post threads, or people can ask if certain companies are legit, but theres an image limit, and a no link rule.

i didn't read ALL the posts in this thread. but i want you guys to realize that 25 does NOT get you the big banner at the top of the page. it gets you this 240 x 90 banner in the corner of the page: http://scooterresource.com/?cat=11.

in response to you andrew, i really respect you for running 3 different companies, and doing all that you've done for the sport. and when i told alex i didn't want to pay even 25 a month, it's because it's for those tiny banners in the corner of the pages that hardly get views, and for a forum of your company. and i didn't want to pay 90 bucks to get the banner at the top of the page. obviously, starting a brand new company i'm not going to be made of money. you should know that a business should be thrifty?

it's your forum, i'm not complaining about what you're doing, but i just feel like it could be handled a little different, idk... i agree with rob that the crackdown is a little intense. maybe a thread for companies, but the companies' owners aren't aloud to post new products, just answer questions, and get feedback on ideas and such. i don't really know how to conclude this post, other than saying that many of you are overracting, many of you have valid points.

Scootering would not be half of what it is without scooterresource. Maybe its time they get some money and get some credit for it.

It was the fuzion elite thread that got locked, but I think that was just a thread for discussing their product and asking questions about it. It think it wasn't supposed to be an advertisement for the product.
