axel snapped so a kid at my local gave me a new one but I dontknow whats wrong with it, when I try to tighten or loosen it the allen keys just wont go in the axel hole all the way, how do I get this axel out so I can replace it? its stuck in there but its loose so my wheel moves a little. I have a lucky smx.

Looks like there isn't any room to get a Dremel tool to cut a notch in the bolt head-

You are going to have to drill it out. Put an Allen key in one side to keep the Axle from spinning.

I imagine that the axle you have is too long for the Fork and the bolt has screwed in all the way before being able to tighten up the Fork to the wheel.

Just close enough to give the impression that tightening MORE will actually work- but no amount of wrenching on the Axle will make it shorter.

I've seen Stock axles that are just a hair too big/long.

might be your allen key. That happend to me once and i was because the head of my allen was a little bent. try a different allen key

just cut a tiny piece off of the bolt so that it doesn't bottom out
if your alen key is rounded at the base just cut a tiny bit of the end so it's flat

it was a brand new allen key so I dont suppose that was the issue but will riding it until it loosens work? how long will that take?

they used that torx looking tool and thats the tool you have to use for it to go all the way in or put the allen as far as it can go in the bolt and hammer the rest in
