backsweep? never had bars with it...

ok so im debating on getting the lucky pry's or rad crow's but the pry's have ~2 backsweep and the rads have ~5 backsweep, so my real question is what is the difference in bars with no backsweep to bars with it, so like is backsweep bars trick range harder then normal bars trick range {ie.} bri's barspins, inwards , turndowns, whatever. but if i would buy either i would cut them down to 18 w. so would that make anything easier, but now i have 17 w. bars {no backsweep} all answers are appreciated,

P.s im no newb to this site jus never post... been here for like three years, just with differrent acounts...

I had the same questions you had before I got my backsweep bars. I absolutely LOVE them. Tricks actually got easier for me due to them being very comfortable. You don't hunch over as much, which makes your back feel better after a long session. I thought it'd be weird at first, but it is amazing. Trust me haha.

thanks man.. but which degree of backsveep is bettah for a first timer cuz i love rads warrenty, but i dont like hic due to the fact that its broke on me various of times...

still lookin for answers

They don't sell HIC Crows any more. So that should factor into your decision depending on whether you want SCS, Baby SCS, or HIC. Crows (non-HIC) will work with both SCS's, and PRYs will work with regular SCS and HIC.

They come clear coated if you buy them raw.

And backsweep was originally made for wider bars, because as you spread your arms apart, your hands start to turn back, so it's more comfterble. That's why they have it on bike bars which are usually 25-30 wide.

Anything under 20 doesn't really need backsweep, but some people still find it more comfortable. Anything under 17 or 18 better not have backsweep.

is there a specific place to buy from that clear coates { cuz in freestyle depot it does no come clear coated, as far as i know}

I'm pretty sure freestyle depot clear coats, if they don't then they're retarded. But worst case scenario, you go to a hardware store and buy some clear coat for 3 bucks and spray the bars yourself. You'll have to re-spray them eventually anyway because it gets scraped off eventually just like paint does.

wait are you saying that cutting them down to 18 wide is bad...?
It's not bad, a lot of people ride 18 wide with backsweep. I'd reccommend pry bars if you were gonna go 18 wide, but either way it's fine.

he said unoversized, as in normal sized.

I'd say to hell with both those bars. if you're cutting down to 18, you should consider phoenix suicides, they come in standard size.

I really just want to make sure of this, does anyone actually know if crows from FD are clearcoated? Because the weathers really bad and humid here so I really dont want them rusting.

They don't say anything about having them clear coated, so just buy some clear coat at a hardware store and spray them when you get them.
