Do some ramps, quarterpipes and boxes. check out google and you'll probably find instructions on how to do them. They're pretty easy but take a little time to make and a bit of $$$. Anyway that's what I did and they're great.

you don't need to spend a ton of money, you don't even have to steal wood and other supplies, you can get them free in a lot of places, you just need to know where to look so ask around. also it is really easy to get free plans online or disign your own ramp with google skethup (also free). good luck with your ramps.

Okay. You should start by looking around for stores that are being remodeled or something similar and go dumpster diving. You can just set plywood up onto bricks for a kicker, or you can go to www.rampplans.org and build a sweet kicker, halfpipe, or spine. You could modify the plans so it is cheaper, but I think you should just ask around for some scrap plywood and bricks and set up a kicker.

oh my god someone from michigan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dude i have somefriends that live in grand rapids. We need to ride sometime. OK back on subject. I just got a new set up. complete with a 9ft vert wall. and i have like a crap load of other stuff. i will post pictures later. and for you people that think that building a NICE ramp dont take anymoney. Dont go to anywhere bc some ply is 25 bucks a sheet. also DONT LEAVE OSB OUTSIDE TO GET WET. PUT A LAYER OF SOMETHING ELSE OVER IT. IT WILL ROT THROUGH OVER TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if you build something and its small enough or easy to dissassemble put it in your garage at night so it doesn't get rained on or stolen.

completely true. If you're leaving your ramps outside, staple tar paper over the plywood, and then surface it with skatelight. It might be a bit expensive, but it's really smooth, and waterproof, and with the tar paper underneath it, there will be absolutely no leakage whatsoever, and your ramps will last a good while.
