yeah, just learn to throw them when your at peek height, and catch, if you catch before you land keep workin on them and they will get easier, i learned em by just throwing the barspin without the 1 handed x-up

If you really practice and find how you like to do them, you'll be looking back at this thread in a month laughing your ass off.
exactly, i learned them in about a day but it was super sketch. but after 2 or 3 days i just got them. In about a month you'll be doing by instinct

haha i learned how to catch barspins over this box jump thingy at my local THEN i learned them flat. but jus keep practicing

I learned them flat and then I tried to launch this pretty big kicker and got it. They key is barspin really fast and catch really fast. And don't be afraid to leave your feet on the deck. And, 13 wides are the easiest to do barspins with.

I just started trying them tonight. My learning process was this:
Just standing b=next to my deck and trying to figure out which hand to spin with, and how to spin it the best. I found that I spin with my left hand and catch with my right. I took that and moved it to a piece of wood about 5" high and started to practice throwing them and catching. I found practiced that until I could throw and catch them consistently with closed eyes. I then moved to jumping and stalling on the same piece of wood and barspinning in the stall. Then I tried barspinning into the stall, which I got only once, which was sketchy. The other times my knee would hit the bars and stop the rotation.

Any tips on stopping the knee problem? I tried moving my stance back but I can't jump like that.

that happens to me sometimes when i try to barspin drops and i dont jump with my scooter or when i use my friends scooter with low bars loll. Maybe your bars are too low, or your not jumping with your scooter. try to like jump first, and then barspin...its hard to explain

Okay, I think I get what you mean, wait a little bit to throw the bar? I think I'll try that once I ride somewhere else than my garage tonight, its too loud if my scooter falls. Thanks.
