why is it important to put your bearing spacers in between your bearings? i don't have them on my proto sliders and i wanted to know why i should have them in

search next time theres a few threads on this. but basicaly becouse with a spacer in between your bearings they alow you to tighten your axel all the way without stressing the bearings. l l is bearings. when you tighten they slightly get presured like... )( obviosly not that much pushed in, but enough to not alow them to work properly. so you have to losen your axel to make it l l. thats undialed. so when you have a spacer... l=l your bearings can be tightened all the way (dialed) and not change the performance of bearings l=l

because bearings are built a certain way. Yes, it is important to have them for dialedness^ but thats not the issue. Bearings are built like this (o) if the small o in the middle gets pushed to the left or the right(by your axle being tight), the ball bearings get offplaced and dont roll like theyre supposed to. So, If you want your scooter to be fast and dialed, put the bearing spacers in

if you want your axle to be tight enough to not fall off but dont want to kill your bearings, then your going to need a bearing spacer and thats all there is to it

My back brearing was running smoothly. Then one day i bombed thefuck out of a hill and did a powerslide and my bearing went poof and disintegrated.
