Bearing Spacers?!

use them they help keep you bearings from breaking because if you land on an angle or something hard and you don have spacers your bearings will just crush
 
the point of spacers is when you tighten your forks and back parts, you start to squeeze your bearings closer, puting tension on them makign them slower, the spacers make it so you can tighten the wheel axels as much as you want, and now interfere with the spped of the bearings

I think that is what they are supposed to do but unfortunately they never work like that. Besides that they are for strength purposes like the other person said.

RRR????? go to the closest sk8 shop and ask 4 bearing spacers also spcers make u go faster

What he said! Pretty sure they dont add much strength and if you break/pop bearings on a scooter then you're doing something very wrong, either in maintainance or Riding.
