i take my bearings apart then put them in some rubbing alchihal and let them soake for a little bit. then take them out after 15min and dry each one with a paper towel and put them back to gether. i also put speed cream or bearing grees on the balls.

hope this helps you..... ( sorry for the spelling ) !shy

If I would buy new bearings I would buy Abec 9s with ceramic!!But they cost 160Ã?Æ?Ã?â??Ã?â??Ã?¢Ã?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¢ââ?¬Å¡Ã?¬Ã?â?¦Ã?¡Ã?Æ?ââ?¬Å¡Ã?â??Ã?¬ or perhaps 180 $!!

nobody needs fucking ceramic bearings or anything, just find some decent lubricant, triflow works good for me, and bones reds bearings, theyre cheap and work great. just clean them in rubbing alcohol and then lube them up.

The only bearings I found that looked kinda good around here are the "Birdhouse - Jacked" bearings, are they any good?

Bearings really don't matter that much just as long as they are clean and well lubed. If they are ovalized or the balls are chipped or have flat spots they need to be replaced.

Old bearings spin faster than new ones if you maintain them right. The faster and longer you ride the better they wear in (up to a certain point).

id like to know how bearings get worn in and work better, id think the only thing that would be going on is friction and wear which would make the balls a little bit less smooth and not work as good, but its the opposite

The key is keeping them clean. If you ride dirty bearings the dirt and dust will wear out the bearings and make them less smooth but if you keep them clean and well lubed they will polish themselves. It is no different then a glacier sliding across solid granite. There are incredible ammounts of friction but in the end the granite is polished smooth. Plus the smaller the balls get from wear the free-er they will spin until they wear too much.

This theory is proven. I rode a ditch with a stream in the middle and got my bearing completely soaked then left my scooter in my car for like a week. When I took it out the wheels barely even spun because the bearings had rusted out so bad so I cleaned them off and lubed them up and within about 6 hours of riding and bombing hills they were almost as fast as they were before they rusted out because the friction polished the rust off the balls.

Friction makes things smooth as long as they are clean but if there is anything between the 2 contacting surfaces like dirt or dust then it will have the opposite effect.

I'm so dumb at cleaning bearings inside. I'm afraid that i might mess up the cage and everything.
I always clean the dust away outside, to prevent the dust going inside. And yea, they still roll nicely.
