Becoming a distributor/retailer

Try to get some popular items that a lot of people want, but that most people don't carry. That will start to set you apart from the other more established distributors and make it a bit easy for you to get a foothold in the business.

Importing stuff from Australia will not get her anywhere, between shipping costs, mark-up, customs, etc, she will never be able to turn a profit without selling them for insane prices.

And Apex? Lol. People bitch about forks costing 80-90 dollars, and Apex forks are like 160 in Australia. They'd be well over 200 bucks here most likely. Nobody would ever buy the shit. We have a very wide selection of the best parts in the scooter industry right here in the US. We really aren't missing anything by not having some of the few Aussie parts that are actually good.

Don't make a team until you create your name in the sport. You will screw everytrhing up if you start a team before everything. (i.e. Torn and !NESK) Don't over hype it too soon.

Get all the apparel you can. Stores NEVER have any apparel in stock.

Keep pegs, wheels, bearings, grip tape, and grips in stock. People are always looking for these, whereas bars/decks/etc. are less needed because they last longer.

Get TRENDING products and keep them in stock. Addict products, Blunt AOS v2s, District Dk-2s, Radderalls, pegs/plegs, etc.

Btw, retailer*. Not dealer lol.
