holy ----- at my local skatepark, me and a couple of my friend are the street riders, and whenever we show up they are like is this street enough for you, and do like some tech shit. they also give me tons of shit because i ride street and tend not to do rails, which is extremely irrelevant

quoted for truth. whenever the fuck I go to a skatepark to chill I get shit for riding street and having an opinion. nek minnit see all the kids do the same shit or whatever trendy trick is out, laugh at them and proceed to fuck around.

i have noticed how some park riders are trying to be "un-trendy" by riding more street. it doesnt really bother me though. Being a balanced rider is a good thing.
what bothers me though is when these riders start saying park and what not is stupid, when thats what founded their riding.
i dont hate park or street, and i dont really care what is trendy or what isnt. i just do whatever is fun. i started riding scooters because it was like a funner version of bmx. i could do many more tricks on a scooter that i couldnt do on a bike. In the end, all i care about is having fun. there's no point of trying to impress other people with something that isnt you. just be yourself.

being anti-trendy is also stupid shit
stop giving so many fucks about what is and isn't trendy and just ride how you want to ride.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about, why are people at your local park even talking about street to start with? are you badgering them for riding park while you're there riding park? what dah fuck.... However, to add to the fuckery of this thread, being anti-trendy is by no means necessarily being trend, because trends are just trends, not a general conformation. Therefore, not being trendy can simply be a state of normalcy and not giving a fuck. However, making it priority to avoid normalcy and object any kind of conformation by all means on purpose...well....that's kinda trendy.

exactly. Chances are if they are doing this to you, you obviously gave them a reason to.

One of my best friends is the biggest park shark and always cuffs his pants and then does manual combos out of fly out. Then ask "am I street like you yet?"
