tbh I'm just looking for good quality pictures and fast shutter speed, and to be fair you can't really get a crap quality SLR camera with fast shutter-speed can you?

if you start with a good performing camera you won't have to worry about buying a "not as good" camera at the begginning and then buy another "better" camera later on.
