Bent fork

Okay, so, as you may already know, yesterday I have bailed and bent a fork. It's still ridable though. Changing a fork with my setup is kind of problematic so I have a question: I can use a hammer to bend it back, thus weakening it more but if I make it straight the force from the impact when landing would be applied evenly OR I can ride it as it is, but every landing would be bending it more due to uneven distribution of the force while impact. What solution would be stronger/longer lasting?

Well if i've bent a fork, then i slam them back to straight right away by holding the steertube in one hand and the deck in the other hand and slamming the fork on coping.

just hold the bars like your normally would and smack it against a wall. works for a while until you do it to the same fork like three or more times.

yea it works but it makes fork to more makaroni or something that, so it starts to bent more easily, i had fork like that. i bended back it so much time sthat it started to bend when i was doing tailwhip.. i got new fork.

I don't understand what could be more problematic than having defective forks... if you bent the steerer tube you are out of luck but if you bent the fork legs you could straighten them but no matter what they will always be weaker and probably do the same thing again. I wouldn't trust them anymore no matter how you try to fix/leave them.

As i may recall then he had his own custom bar which didn't go ON the fork, but IN the fork - changing that might be a problem for him. Or i remember it wrong and talking bullshit, Pete? Somebody refresh my memory.

Yeah, the fork must be drilled through under the headset, another tough thing is making the bar not move around as the outer bar diameter is not equal the inner fork diameter. So I think Ill just have some fun with the hammer, I don't think they'll do the same thing again considering it was just an accident, Ive slammed the scooter against the ground right onto the fork.
