best mini dv tapes?

what tapes are the best to use? i have used a bunch of different ones and I have had problems with some. im going to order a bunch of new tapes so im not always recording over the same ones, what kind should i get? I have a panasonic pv-gs85.

Your supposed to use one brand of tape and stick with it haha. Thats why you having problems. Different tapes use different lubrications, so when you switch tapes you mix them up and get dirty heads. If i were you, i would get a head cleaner, run it, and just get some panasonic tapes like these http://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-MiniDV-Tapes-Pack-5/dp/B00007FWP2 . Once you run a head cleaner, only buy one brand of tape, if you have to switch for some reason, run the cleaner before you start using the new brand.

thats pretty much what i was going to to, thanks. and i know your only supposed to use one brand of tape, for the most part i did. sometimes i had to use other ones because i ran out of tapes. so yeah

i use sony....and sometimes my sony color collections...so all my tapes are different colors...haha

Run the head cleaner, and get Panasonic DVC tapes and dont use any other brand.
