Its when you 180, then 180 back out the same way. Instead of doing the full 360 degree turn, you just turn back around the same way you came from. If that makes any sense.

just lean alittle back and turn your bars like your dick is all the way out there if you slider out left turn bars left and the bars should look like ur dick is \ at that particular angle or vice versa for the ride and your bars should look like your dick is to the right. /

im not really talking about tricks, but in some street spots there are places where you can make an indian giver look cool. obviously if your just going to 180 flat or down a gap or something and then just go in a straight line in fakie, then indian giver, it wont really look good.

for basics learn to slide out or 180 hop out but get a mixture. as you progresss whip/bar/downside out or 540 if u own
