if I still lived in Washington I would love to ride dh, but Texas is just too damn flat, single cross is as far as it gets for me.

I saw the premiere for Where the Trail Ends in Vegas and it was so insane. Almost as insane as the fact that Sal Masekela introduced the video.

P.S. Rob my fixie has bigger wheels than your downhiller by three inches so HA.

I really like older steel road frames with modern components:

One of the most Euro pictures imaginable (white kit in a cross race on a pink bike):

Tied for a geared cross bike as the bicycle I want most is a touring bike that I can ride across the world:

http://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/bik/3246249350.html building a fixed gear out of this

also alex do you know what the saddle on the orange second to last bike is
I'd go against building a conversion (this goes for Ian and Ben). Road frames are typically not very good to use as a fixed gear as far as geometry and rear spacing goes. It's a Brooks saddle, I don't know the model though. They're supposed to be the most comfortable saddle ever once broken in (which takes a while) and they're also pretty pricy. Brooks had a super cool booth at Interbike.

Alex some of those actual track builds (not just fixies, the ones with the deep V carbons and shit) look drool/cum worth.

rob and ralph, your bikes are awesome.

Thanks dude! When I take a break while at Mountain Creek, people always come up to me and say how awesome my bike is, and never get rid of it. It always make me laugh, because they will be on like brand new $7,000 bikes, and my bike is from 2003. I still run a round the same travel as modern bikes though.

Hell no, I wish it was lol. I'd kill for that bike.

I have an Ironhorse yakuza aniki. Going to be putting work into it but for now its mostly stock.

You ever try downhilling Alex? It's mighty fun

This is pretty much what my bike will look like in a week, minus the front derailleur.

I'm too much of a pussy to downhill. I'll get a mountain bike someday and work my way up to it. I just like pedaling distances as well as going down hills.

Got my fork in today. Need a new brake/caliper but I'll see how this mini rotor does for now. Seasons ending soon anyway:
