Biggest Influences?

For the terrain I ride, I follow the same style that all the BMXer's at TIC ride... the same kind of gaps and tricks over boxes... and with scooters... I always looked up to Matt Andrus for his BMX style, and Kc Corning for his smoothness, Kc was actually the reason I started riding park... when I first saw his OLD OLD ass Midget Song minivid... my other influences are Brian Boston for his crazy combos and Terry Price... but he goes without saying... so yeah, let me know about your influences.

kc corning is deffenatly my biggest influence. i used to ride with him when i was like 11 then he moved. now that hes back i just see the tricks he does and i try to do them better

josh toy for sure. he basically got me into the sport and he helped me find a scooter and parts, his tricks are big and his manuels are clean. also matt andrus, hes really tech, and got alot of tire taps

Terry Price: Always seems to pull amazing tricks out of a hat. Really nice guy. The person who got me really into riding. I remember on the old SR I asked if a flipwhip has been done, someone linked me to the video... I watched that thing sooo many times.

Jesse Macaluso: Amazing tricks but progression is why I look up to him. I remember a thread on the old TPC and it was his 1st backflip a spine and he was soooo stoked, now he is backflip double whiping it. Also, in one of his old minis there was a bad bail on a flair attempt... Now im pretty sure he could flair flat.

Sean Griffen: In the Anarky 2 era his and Tims part were played so much on my computer. His decades were amazing and I still cant get them as nice as he did back then

Brian Boston: Like Jesse said, can make the most insane combos ever. Owns the hell out of fingerwhips.

Steven Tongson: The most inteligent rider I've ever encounterd. I've seen very little footage from him but what I saw was so nice. He is an amazing person.

Its not 'best riders' or 'favourite riders' thread

Mine biggest influence right now would be Cary; lately Ive been trying to go bigger on qps as well as do park transfers, clear boxes etc.

i think my biggest influences would be the friends i ride with as in allen getts danny barrett jason griffiths and kevin vannauker

kevin for his style and consitancy

jason cuz he is just as good as me and we learn new stuff together and help each other out

danny because i can relate to him since we both do stuff in weird kind of ways (were both reg that rotate and barspin the opp way of tailwhips)

allen because he is funny likes to go big and has the balls to try anything

all of the above because i always have fun when im riding with them

cary mosbrucker for being crazy and doing huge airouts at the skatepark and how huge he does every trick and david N. for being funny and having fun with the sport

Hmmm...I think that Micro Xtreme team videos influenced on me a lot. It were the first foreign scooter riders I discovered (it happened last august)
I also appreciate Matt McKeens street riding. His minivid is just great!

Ryan Whetstone, Steven Tongson. Ryan cause i found his site first. and all of the stuff on his site really influenced me to get better. now its easily steven tho. i love his riding, but he is probably the most amazing person i know. he'll always talk to you (except if your name is Coire....haha). but yea, much love to steven and ryan.

and actually, i am kinda impressed by coire, cause we gave him so much shit and he still kept trying. so kudos to him as well i guess haha

Brian Boston

I got myself banned.
>Tim Muller - got me into riding, do you need more influence than that?

>Sean Griffin - i probably wouldn't love riding street so much if he didn't push himself to go big, i allways wanted to do stuff to top him riding street when he was riding

>Jesse - Riding with him is so much fun and he allways can think of somthing new for me to try

>Addison and McKeen - they push street so hard and i want to keep up with them

>Brandon Kilbury - i think me and him have alot of similarity in tricks and riding and i like to try to keep up with him

>Steve Toungston -

uhh i gotta go ill finish later

i guess jesse as his mini was the first i ever saw and thats what got me started and he still inspires me with his madness. Matt Andrus is also a big influence to me as i love his technical style and the like. Its a shame i never actually get to ride with these guys :(

willis. he was one of the first riders i saw when i started. i remeber seeing him triple off a small set, fingerwhip off a ledge, and double flat. i thought id never in a million year be doing that, and now i can triplewhip sets, fingerwhip flat, and dubwhip up curbs. he was deffinitly one of
the main resaons i ride street.

Usually watching a scooter video, good or bad makes me want to scooter, but I'd say my biggest influence is Steven Hamilton, both for bikes and scooters. Thanks to him I do way more manuals and 180's and way less tailwhips.

Mhhh....influences....

Corey Ryan for showing me scooters were super duper. Josh Mclean when he rode, we were always pushing each other to learn better tricks, which made me improve so much in not alot of time. Steven, when i watched his preview for his minivid it influenced me to start cleaning up my riding heaps more, and also got me into doing more fakie and manual combinations, and his a cool guy. Pete Mayor, he always helps me enjoy riding park a whole lot more, he gives me good ideas for new lines, and seeing him throw down huge stuff makes me jealous so learn something cooler lol. Chris Jensen, takes me to tonnes of new parks which definatly helps me progress, although his ideas for tricks for me to do are completely stupid, 5% of the time there good ideas lol.
