Blunt Australia is changing their name to Envy Scooters. All other divisions of Blunt will still be called Blunt. According to their facebook, there is a reason that they're changing their name, although they haven't told us what it is yet.

idk why they would change the name but "envy" is the name of their new deck im pretty sure

Yeah, I knew that the deck was named that, I just have no clue why they would change the entire company's name, and why for australia only?

I saw that too.. If they're gonna change their name, I'm not sure why they wouldn't just change their international name, not just Australia..?

this is dumb, some parent probably complained about it being "drug" related even though it has nothing to do with it

I always thought it was a drug reference, especially since the logo looks kinda like a marijuana leaves.

I'm pulling all of this straight from facebook, just so there's some basic explanation behind it.

Envy Scooters
Hey guys, this is the owner of Blunt Scooters writing this. This is legit and is happening. We have seen an opportunity to move into a new direction and have taken it. The new line of products will be all the same as anywhere else in the world just with the name Envy on it. The whole structure of the company has been changed and improved, right down to the factory floor and to the end user. Stay tuned for some big surprises.

There's reasons for everything guys, sometimes you've just gotta accept a company's decision to turn over a new page and start fresh.
There's bigger and better things than you've ever seen coming from Envy in the next few months. Your minds will be blown, and the last thing you'll think about is the name change ;)

just a heads up the new decks are going to be so rad, everyone is ragging because itss a change.. everybody needs to understand its a change for the better. the people behind blunt know what they are doing, this is a new direction for the company and to start it off they have taken the name envy.. the team riders are adapting to this as should the public riders and fans.
after all the products are going to be pumped out, advanced and improved.

I whole heartedly support everything that Wazza just said.
This is a whole new step forward in the industry for blunt.
We're shedding the old, and making way for a whole new line of product that has been improved, tested, improved some more, tested some more, then manufactured for your needs.
If anything, Blunt is only becoming stronger and stronger, this name change marks that move to a bigger, better presence in the industry.

Firstly, thankyou.
Secondly, Blunt started out on the wrong foot, the factory that was making the parts was dodgy, and so the first run wasn't as good as it could've been.
Everything about the company has changed, and it is now going to be a completely different story. No one will be able to hide from that fact soon.

seen this on their fb, what would their videos be called then, and idk if i would by a deck called, Envy scooters envy deck, doesnt seem right unless they change the name of deck

So you buy a deck based on it's name? Pretty sure you wouldn't give a shit.

Ok aaron, something ive wanted to know since I knew about these new decks which is a damn while.
Are they still made like the old ones, by pouring a shitload of melted metal into a mold and then welded together when they dry?
Cause that Is why they broke imo.

Haha not sure who told you something like that. But they where surly taking the piss. Our decks are made by first sourcing the best Aluminum, which we now import in from Taiwan which is known as the supper hub of the world for high-end Bikes and machine parts. The Alu is then brought in as bars approx about 5kg each. They are then placed in a machine and melted down, then pushed through an extrusion mold, where it comes out the shape of the deck and cooled. We then cut them all to size and our welders using imported welding sticks from the USA, weld the 3 parts together forming the deck. From there it’s taken over and heat treated and turned into T6. The Envy deck is made from new ALu, New factory, New welding sticks and new welders.
