I've been reading the mod bible, and im new to scootering(been scooting about 3 months) so I don't know all that much but i've decided to Lock my folding mech and bolt my T tube.
About half an hour ago i decided I would bolt my T tube so I went to the shed and found a bolt about 1cm wide and a nut that fitted it. I measured up the bolt against how wide the tube was and it could JUST fit the bolt on the end, and i though 'Hey this is great, because it will be tighter when i screw it on, therefore holding it together better'
So I mounter my Razor in the vice and grabbed the drill bit. I drilled away through one side and the bit got jammed so I had to file it a bit. I then proceeded to drill all the way through. A good hole, except for the fact that I didn't drill it directly on the side. This was a bit of a problem but it didn't have to be perfect.
I put the bolt through and got out my shifters(Spanners for all you idiots out there) and tightened it as hard as I could.
I took the scooter for a test doing some pogos (I normally knock my knees on the stupid quick release thing) and it was fine.
Next Job: Locking the folding mechanism. I will probably attempt this tomorow night.
The scooter I'm doing the mods on atm is my old scoot, hoping to get a new one soon.
No pics atm sorry.
