Brake idea

I've always thought that instead of having a brake, just have a sheet of metal or something else to shield the wheel. My biggest problem and the reason I usually fall is landing on the brake, how would I go about making one for my rup v1, what materials etc?

Yeah - I've never seen that before! But how would I make one?

Bolt it like a flexfender, and then to the sides of the dropouts so that it doesnt move.

yeah they were called fixed fenders you could buy them on wee a long time ago. not sure about how you could diy it without a welder
