BROKEN METALCORE THREAD

my mate bought 2 110 metalcores as the 100s were sold out and he chunked one of them in 4 days in the back and then the front one chunked out and died 3 days later and he asked for a refund so they sent him 2 100 metalcores so he sold them lol

fuck, more proof that metalcores are a waste of money (unless they're the SR kind which will hopefully come out soon). Just use a stock pro wheel, gm, etc. and put hot glue/bondo or something stronger like that in the core and bam, you have a wheel that is probably equally as good as a metalcore and will last you about the same time (unless of course your name is brian murphy.)

i just got my first metalcore today. and its a good thing i read what john said :p i'm gonna need to break it in a lot...but the thing is, i never break front wheels. i might just hot glue a pro for my front, and once i break my metalcore in, ride it in the back.

please tell me if this is a good idea...i REALLY would rather not break this 'precious gem' that cost me so freakin much.

thats what you are supposed to do if you want to ride a metalcore in the back because the heat and friction causes the urethane to tighten up causing it to be stronger

i always just got too impatient and just rode it anyways and it lasted me a long time. but supposedly wearing them in first helps a LOT
