tons bent the crossbar on the first version. ive heard of some breaking at the weld. i havent heard of any of the v3s breaking though.
But anything about breaking steertubes above the forktube?
I know that Coedie has bent his rads at the bottom, cut a piece off and rode for another year till he started using new bars.
OJFross rode rads, snapped if i remember correctly. And recently he posted some pictures about some proto bars, which he claimed was made out of chromoly and thicker than rads - snapped in two. Had weird slits so i think it has something to do with that, but generally i think it's pretty unreal to snap a chromoly steertube thicker than .065.
Any other opinions/experiences?

It is definitely possible to bend and break chromoly bars there at .065 but that's all I'm saying.

I got myself banned.
Chris Bartnicki bent his cross bar on his V1s. I think the bars Coedie broke were V3, and there the only V3s i can remember anyone breaking. My V3s are still floating around in Jersey somewhere, there gonna be 2 years old soon.
